Cherry & Joy: January 2012

Looking out of the window this morning it hardly seems like we're ready for the imminent drop of the Spring collections. However I do love seeing a freshly laid out store, free of sad looking sale rails at the start of a new season.

It seems like many moons ago that I did my SS12 ready-to-wear collections posts & now that we're on the cusp of that season I thought I'd pick out some of my favourite trends coming through & find what's available on the high street now.

A pastel palette...

There's nothing like a clean & fresh pastel to revive the spirits. One of the major trends as seen on the SS12 catwalks, we'll be awash with icy blues, spearmint, lemon & pale rose come Springtime.

I've also cheekily thrown in a couple of cherry & Joy pieces which will be in store very soon to finish off your look!

Spring florals...

There'll be a whole plethora of florals filtering down from the catwalks & hitting the high street soon. Whether it's ditsy, bouquet or appliquéd blooms, they'll most certainly be feminine & light. However if you're not into sugary sweet florals, there should also be plenty of monochrome bouquet prints around to tickle your fancy.

Tribal mix...

It wouldn't be Summer without a smattering of tribal inspired prints. This season you'll see the usual leopard & zebra but the mix will be even more eclectic with ethnic prints, paisleys & raffia thrown in for good measure.
