The amateur gardener...

I've surprised myself over the last 5 years of having a garden (albeit it an urban container garden) by how much I love pottering about out there. There's something so relaxing, even theraputic about nurturing plants & flowers.

As a lover of colour, there's nothing more rewarding than standing back & admiring a garden in bloom.

I happened to be going through my photos recently & stumbled across my archive of garden photos. As the sun has decided to put in an appearance I thought I'd share a few of my favourites with you...

Mulberry Blooms...

Continuing the floral theme from yesterday's post, I thought you might like to peruse this fab short film showcasing the Mulberry Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

Being the gardening addict that I am, I spent most of the duration of the film admiring the gorgeous hydrangeas rather than the covetable clothes & accessories on show!

Spring Florals...

So Spring has officially finally sprung! Don't you just love it when you can feel the warmth of the first proper sunshine of the year...

Another big trend for this Spring/Summer is florals, in particular English garden style florals. If you've got the confidence you could wear this look head-to-toe in the style of D&G, otherwise there are a plethora of fab accessories to choose from out there on the High Street if you want to give a gentle nod to this trend.

I'm not really a soft pastel floral girl myself (I prefer stronger black based florals) but personal preferences aside, here are my top picks currently available on the High Street...

Autumn Winter 2011 Paris Fashion Week

And so to Paris...

This city has proven to be the home of my favourite group of shows this season, which surprises me as I'm normally a London & New York type of girl. As I type I'm finding it hard to narrow down my selection of images to post. There was gothic glamour, eclectic prints, sculpted leather, sharp tailoring, amazing textural combinations, clever cutting. The list could go on, but edit I must...

So here they are, my favourite looks from Paris. All images courtesy of style.com.
